The Assessment Process and Tasks

There are five different sets of assignments on the programme. The first four assessments are linked to each of the core Future Leaders Scheme modules, while the fifth assessment is an integrated assessment task that is connected to, and runs across the four core modules. The Assessment titles are as follows:

  1. Assessment 1 Module: Leadership in Context
  2. Assessment 2 Module: Working With and Through Others
  3. Assessment 3 Module: Leading Projects and Partnership Working
  4. Assessment 4 Module: Self-Management and Personal Effectiveness
  5. Assessment 5 (Integrated Assessment): Management and Leadership in Practice

Assessment Material

Most of the PGCert course content will be covered in the two-day block delivery for the Future Leaders Scheme modules.

For each assessment, there is a reading list, which you can use to guide your assessment preparation, an FAQ document, and an accompanying video to explain the assessment. In addition, there is an expectation that you will do additional reading beyond the essential reading identified by your tutor.

Late Assignments

Any submission received after the deadline is considered a late submission. Unless the learner has made a submission under the extenuating circumstances procedure, a non-submission or late submission would result in a zero mark. This would require you to resit the assessment, and your module mark will subsequently be capped at the pass mark. All learners are entitled to two resit attempts, after which the learner will be deemed to have failed the module, and would need to contact the Course team to discuss their progression.
